Spanish Bank CaixaBank and SEPA XML Credit Transfer Files

There is almost a slight difference in every country when it comes to SEPA Credit Transfer file types and CaixaBank and Spanish banks are no different!

With Spanish banks the company’s CIF number must be within the file, otherwise it will fail.

A CIF (Certificado de Identificación Fiscal) number, this is the tax ID number for all companies. It consists of a letter followed by 8 digits (example: B12345678) and so within the SEPA XML GENERATOR Credit Transfer software there is this field within your Company Settings tab:

The CIF (Certificado de Identificación Fiscal) replaces the OIN Number (Originator Identification Number) for Spanish Banks.
